Getting Started

Hello lovely! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m so glad you could make it. Pull up a chair and stay a while – I have a thing or two to share…

I used to be a miserable corporate stooge, suffering from depression and the empty feeling that something was missing in my life. I was stuck, bouncing from one bad job or relationship to another and never really finding my place in the world. After a particularly bad bout of depression I decided to commit to my neglected creativity. Not only did it save my sanity, it changed the whole trajectory of my career and eventually became my first book.

These days I get to make art and write for a living. I'm a self-improver, an entrepreneur, an adventurer, a searcher, a reader, an advocate of gratitude, an explorer, a personal development junkie, an introvert, a creativity activist, an enthusiast, a rebel, a misfit and a connector. I live in Copenhagen, my favourite city in the world, I’m surrounded by wonderful friends and I have a totally dreamy boyfriend. But it’s taken me a long time to get here.

About Me

You can read more about me & my story or, for a deeper look at what makes me tick, check out The Alphabet of Eli. And for a musical introduction (songs which capture my ethos beautifully) take a look at my Soundtrack of Eli playlist on Spotify.

What I Do

I draw pictures (mostly cats and books), I write books, and I teach gentle ecourses to help you make the most of your creativity and craft a lovely life. When I’m not writing books, I love to blog regularly about my daily life as an artist living in Copenhagen.

If you’re new to my work, may I suggest that you start by grabbing a copy of my book The Gratitude Project?

The Blog

When I’m not writing books, I love to blog regularly about stuff which inspires me, lessons I’ve learned, useful resources, and snippets of my daily life as an artist living in Copenhagen. Here are a few of my favourite posts to get you started...

Join The Community

I am a collector of kindred spirits and I love gathering like-minded people together. Sharing ideas and different perspectives around various topics really gets my juices flowing, and I’m lucky enough to be friends with some of the most awesome creatives who are willing to join in and share their thoughts.  It’s insightful, inspiring and illuminating.

Studio Notes

Do you need a bit of light shone on your creative life or business? My Studio Notes are an in-depth look at the ins and outs of what it really takes to live a creative life. If you want to have adventures with me and join in with a community of like-minded people, sign up for the Notes. It's where I share my bestest super-secret tips, tricks and tools with my email subscribers, laying it on the line - warts and all. Plus you'll get a whole batch of freebies from my Secret Stash.

Community Projects

Community Projects are when I gather together my favourite creative movers and shakers and get them to spill the beans on how they do it. In 2016 I ran Demystifying The Artist, talking what it really means to be an artist, and in February 2017 we looked at The Power of Ritual – all about the various rituals practiced by artists and creatives (Psst! You can get the ebooks of both projects when you sign up to get my Studio Notes).

You can also catch me on social media. I’m on Facebook most often – come and be friends!
